Government Agencies

The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) effectively supervises adults under their jurisdiction to enhance public safety, reduce recidivism, support the fair administration of justice, and promote accountability, inclusion and success through the implementation of evidence-based practices in close collaboration with their criminal justice partners and the community.

“I believe one of the successes of the Continuum of Care program actually occurs upon release from our facility. We have great partnerships with Court Services Offender Supervision Agency, CSOSA. We have a great partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Returning Citizen’s Affairs, MORKA. We have a great partnership with the Department of Employment, DOES.”

Brick Tripp, Facility Administrator at The Geo Group

“What we find is that 60% of the individuals start supervision unemployed…We have been trying to advance the idea that people need a second chance opportunities. And so we have had some success in helping our folks find employment, but we can’t do it all. What’s been beneficial about the program at Rivers is that they now have feet on the street knocking on doors, talking to employers as well.”

Cedric Hendricks, Acting Deputy Director of the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA)

“And this is the beautiful thing about GEO. We partner with other agencies. We know we can’t do it alone. So we talk to Washington, D.C. The Court Services Offender Supervision Agency is our main partner. They network within that community and connect us with other community leaders, employers, so that they can say, “What courses does Rivers need to offer so that when these people return to our area, they will be viable employees for you?”
